Is your Community Scheme registered?
In terms of the CSOS Act and Regulations, all Community Schemes must register with the CSOS.
The CSOS has noted with concern – the rising number of Covid-19 infections in Gauteng, Western Cape, and Kwazulu-Natal provinces and the risk this poses to staff and clients in the three respective regions. As a precautionary measure, CSOS staff based in these regions are working remotely from their homes until further notice.
As a result, we have limited visits to the CSOS Walk-In Centres at Head Office and regional offices. We encourage all face-to-face meetings to be replaced by email and telephone. You can still reach us at info@csos.org.za or alternatively call 0800 000 653.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding
The CSOS was established in terms of the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, 2011 (Act No 9 of 2011) to regulate the conduct of parties within community schemes.
A credible, world class ombud service for community schemes in South Africa.
To promote harmonious community schemes by providing regulation, education and accessible dispute resolution services to all relevant stakeholders.
